Tayo Adenaike, a renowned Nigerian artist, born in 1954 in Idanre, Ijebu-Imushin, Ogun State, Nigeria, is celebrated for his unique visual style and mastery of watercolor techniques.

Graduating from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Adenaike has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in various group shows internationally, including the Smithsonian Institution’s “Poetics of Line: Seven Artists of the Nsukka Group” exhibition.

His paintings can be found in public museum collections in Nigeria, African Museum of Arts and Culture, Washington DC, USA, in Germany, and in private collections across sixteen countries.

Despite his Yoruba heritage, Adenaike has resided in Eastern Nigeria for the past five decades.
